Neymar, Barcelona, and Santos all going on trial

The Supreme Court of Spain has denied the appeals from Neymar, who will have to appear in a court so he could testify against alleged corruption and irregularities about his transfer from Santos to Barcelona from the 2013 year.

Appeals from Barcelona, Santos, Neymar, his mother Nadine Goncalves, and the family company N&N were all been rejected. As the Court has notified, there can not be appeals on this court’s decision.

Spanish prosecution asks from The National Court in Madrid that Neymar Junior be punished with two years in prison and a fine of 10.6 million $, also they demand that Barcelona is fined 9 million $ and Santos 7 million $.

The process was initiated after an appeal from the Brasilian investment fund DIS, that was the owner of 40% rights on Neymar. That fund claims that they were deprived of the true fees from Neymar transfer to Barcelona. Barca claimed that the whole transfer worth was 57,1 million €, that Neymar got 40 million € and Santos 17,1 million €, from which DIS fund got 6,8 million €. However, the Spanish Court stated that transfer worth was 83,3 million € because of that sum fund DIS appealed. They believe that Barcelona hid the real worth of transfer, and paid them a lot less money.
