Airport Received Name By Cristiano Ronaldo!
The international airport in the city of Funchal on the Portuguese island of Madeira has received today the name of the best football player in the World Cristiano Ronaldo. The best Portuguese football player was among hundreds of fans who attended the ceremony of renaming the airport. Statue with the name of Ronaldo was officially discovered by the president of Portugal Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa and prime minister Antonio Costa.

Cristiano Ronaldo is a local hero in Madeira where he was born and originated as a football player. When he was 12 years old, he left the hometown and went to Lisbon where he played for Sporting before he went to Manchester United and then Real Madrid. Representation on Portugal on Tuesday in Funchal played a friendly game against Sweden but this visit was in order to be presented to the citizens the trophy of Europan champion that was won this summer in France.
